It is a Hyderabadi curry recipe which you can enjoy with Biryani. Do try this recipe and share your comments below.<br /><br />Ingredients:-<br />For Mirchi<br />4-5 tbsp Oil<br />Big Green Chillies, chopped into 2 inches<br /><br />For Onion Mixture:<br />4-5 tbsp Oil<br />Asafoetida<br />Mustard seeds<br />10-12 Fenugreek seeds<br />1 tbsp Fennel seeds<br />Curry leaves<br />2 Onions, finely chopped<br />½ tsp Turmeric powder<br />1- 1 ½ tbsp Red Chilli Powder<br />Big Green Chillies, chopped<br />2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp<br /><br />For Masala<br />2 tbsp Sesame seeds<br />1 cup Wet Coconut, grated<br />2-3 tbsp Peanut powder<br />Green Paste<br />Water as required<br /><br />For green paste:<br />1 inch Ginger<br />5-7 Garlic, cloves<br />5-6 Green Chillies<br /><br />For Curry<br />Onion Mixture<br />Coconut mixture<br />1 ltr Water<br />Green Chillies<br />Salt<br /><br />Method:-<br />For Mirchi<br />Heat oil in a vessel, add green chillies and saute them.<br />Our Mirchi for the curry is ready.<br /><br />For Onion Mixture<br />In a vessel heat oil, add asafoetida, mustard seeds and let them crackle.<br />Add fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves, onions, fry until the onion turns pink in color.<br />Add green paste and saute them.<br />Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, masala, saute them until the masala starts leaving water.<br /><br />For Masala<br />In a pan roast sesame seeds, coconut, peanut powder till they turn slightly brown.<br />Our coconut mixture is nice and brown, cool it down, add water and grind it to a fine paste.<br /><br />For green paste:<br />Grind ginger, garlic, green chillies together to make a smooth paste.<br /><br />For Curry<br />In a vessel containing onion and coconut mixture, add tamarind pulp and the sauteed chillies, mix well.<br />Add water to make curry. <br />Add salt to the curry and give it a boil.<br />And our Mirch ka Saalan is ready.
