According to BuzzFeed News, 12 Russian intelligence officers were indicted by a grand jury for a hacking scheme targeting the 2016 US election.<br />The defendants are all military officers, and members of Russia's GRU intelligence service.<br />The indictment accuses them of conspiring to hack into computer networks in order to steal documents, which they could disseminate to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. <br />
