China reportedly says it'll encourage more investment in foreign companies... in response to U.S. efforts to block Chinese firms making inroads for their alleged theft of intellectual property.<br /> The People's Daily, run by the Communist Party, reported Sunday... that China's Vice Minister of Commerce, Wang Shouwen , said this at the World Trade Organization headquarters in Geneva.<br />He touted China's contribution to global growth and the economic recovery through the facilitation of free trade since it joined the WTO 17 years ago.<br />His remarks come after the U.S. slapped tariffs on Chinese imports due to its concerns about deals made by Chinese companies, backed by the government, targeting U.S. military and security-related technologies. <br />
