Adidas is joining a number of companies that are reducing the use of plastic, pledging to use recyclable materials by the year 2024.<br /> The world famous sportswear brand announced Monday that it will stop using newly manufactured plastic in its clothing, offices and outlets.<br />Instead it said it will use 100 percent recycled polyester in every product and on every application where a solution exists.<br />About 41 percent of recycled polyester will be used in Adidas' 2019 spring and summer clothing line. <br />
