The carpet trend currently is soft, soft, and even softer carpet. If your carpet is super soft, the nap will move very easily, and you will see vacuum marks. The only way to avoid vacuum marks is to get stiffer looped carpet or Berbers that do not move. These carpets wear well, but they are not exactly soft in nature but will be trackless.<br /><br />So like many things in life, you have to pick your preference. Do you want to see some vacuum marks and have your carpet softer, or do you want to not see vacuum marks and have a looped/stiffer carpet?
