When water levels get low Hippos can step on each other toes and normally this end in a fight or a chase and sometimes to the death of the opponent. Hippos are very territorial especially when it comes to females and younger bulls trying their luck in the pod.<br /><br />These two hippo bulls chased each other in the Sabie River trying to establish dominance in the area.
