In a recent issue <br />of the peer-reviewed journal Occupational Environmental Medicine <br />a link was shown between cell phone use and brain cancer. Here are some of <br />the findings: <br /><br />1. Using a cell phone for more than 10 years increases the risk of <br /> getting brain cancer. <br />2. People using a cell phone for 10 years or more are twice as <br /> likely to develop a tumor on the same side of the head where the <br /> handset is used most often. <br />3. Using a cell phone just one hour a day over a 10-year period is <br /> enough to increase the risk of brain cancer <br />4. Children should not use a cell phone at all <br />5. International standards to protects users from radiation are "not <br /> safe" and need to be revised. <br />6. Subjects using cell phones for 10 years or more were 20% more <br /> likely to develop acoustic neuroma (a benign tumor of the auditory <br /> nerve). <br />7. Subjects using cell phones for 10 years or more were 30% more <br /> likely to develop malignant gliomas. <br /><br />Clearly, once again, these findings present compelling information <br />linking cell phone use to brain cancer. <br /><br />Don't take the use of wireless technology lightly. It is a very real <br />and relevant danger.
