Ivan Saratu, a 15-year-old from Toraja, central Indonesia, suffers from Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a condition that has left him partially paralysed in his legs.<br /><br />The boy walks to and from school every day on his hands, here accompanied by his parents on the way to school. <br /><br />Ivan has had the condition for eight years, contracting it at the age of seven. <br /><br />Currently he receives no government assistance to help him travel to and from his school, according to local videographer Jufri Tonapa.<br /><br />However, his neighbours and parents support him in his day-to-day life.
