<p>The Humane Society of the United States assisted in the rescue of over 50 dogs and over 30 cats in Jones County, Mississippi, from a carnival-like property.</p><p>The organization shared a video of one of the rescue cats on their YouTube page on July 19. The footage shows Alex, a cat who was found among “rusted, old cages covered in cobwebs lined a dark room in the debilitating Mississippi heat.”</p><p>According to a press release,</a> two suspects — Mary Ellen Senne and David Senne</a> — have been charged with aggravated animal cruelty.</p><p>In total, 89 animals were rescued from the property.
