Jennifer Connelly is in talks to join Tom Cruise for the **Top Gun** sequel.<br />TheWrap reports **Top Gun: Maverick** is set to hit theaters on July 12, 2019.<br />Joseph Kosinski is directing, and the script is by Eric Warren Singer, Peter Craig and Justin Marks.<br />Miles Teller and Val Kilmer will also star.<br />Production is set to start in September in San Diego. <br />
