<p>A 10-year-old child was restrained by police during a confrontation after his father was arrested in Georgia, on July 20.</p><p>Police arrived at the scene in Sartain Dr. Upon, Athens, to arrest the boy’s father, a “domestic violence suspect.” One officer pinned the boy to the ground and called on the second officer to help him restrain and handcuff the child.</p><p>In a statement</a> posted to Facebook, Athens-Clarke County Police Department described the boy as being " extremely emotionally distraught".</p><p>The body cam footage was shared</a> by Athens-Clarke County Police Department two days after a woman who describes herself as the boy’s cousin, Ariel Collins, posted her own video</a> of the incident to Facebook.</p><p>“Eric didn’t do anything but was tryna talk to his dad who was in the police car”, Collins wrote on her Facebook post.</p><p>An internal investigation was ordered by Athens-Clarke County Police Department Chief of Police, Scott Freeman “due to a juvenile involvement”, said the department</a>.
