A bandh called by Maratha groups in Mumbai and its surrounding areas got off to a peaceful start on Wednesday morning, but grew in intensity later on in the day.<br /><br />Police resorted to lathi-charge after protesters attacked mediapersons at the entry point of the Kalamboli expressway during a bandh called by Maratha groups in Mumbai and its surrounding areas on Wednesday.<br /><br />Sources said stones were also pelted at police personnel.<br /><br />The protestors are agitating over the demand of reservations for Marathas in jobs and education.
