<p>Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for shooting a 29-year-old transgender woman at a gas station in Detroit, Michigan, on Monday, July 23.</p><p>“The victim and suspect had and [sic] exchange of words resulting<br />in the suspect producing a weapon,” a press release from Detriot Police read. “As the victim attempt [sic] to take the weapon from the suspect, the victim was shot.”</p><p>The victim’s injuries were not fatal, according to local media reports</a>.
