베이징 미 대사관 인근서 폭발 사실 확인<br /><br /> U.S. officials confirmed that a lone bomber set off an explosive Thursday afternoon near the American embassy in Beijing.<br />Reports had come out saying a blast was heard in the area at around 1 pm local time.<br /> According to witnesses, they felt tremors and heard the explosion several blocks away.<br />In videos shared on social media, gray smoke could be seen drifting over the street.<br />Beijing police later identified the bomber as a 26-year-old man surnamed Jiang from the Chinese province of Inner Mongolia.<br />The homemade bomb didn't injure anyone, but the suspect injured his hand.<br /> The incident wasn't confirmed until later by the U.S. embassy spokesman... who said that an individual had detonated a bomb,... and that local police responded. <br />
