Anti-ICE Protesters Arrested After Blocking Elevators to Louisville Immigration Court

<p>Several protesters were arrested</a> on July 25 after blocking the elevators to the Louisville Immigration Court inside the Heyburn building in Louisville, Kentucky, during an demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).</p><p>A dozen people linked arms using plastic braces which, according to WFPL</a>, appeared to be made of PVC pipe and chains. The demonstrators chanted “abolish ICE” as they blocked people from entering and exiting the elevators, The Courier-Journal reported</a>.</p><p>The demonstration delayed the start of the Louisville Immigration Court where nearly 5,300 cases were pending, the Courier-Journal said.</p><p>Occupy ICE Louisville also set up tents at a park near Sixth and Chestnut streets early that same day.
