<p>California’s Cranston Fire grew to 4,700 acres and destroyed five homes by July 26, just one day after it sparked, according to ABC 7</a>.</p><p>Roughly 2,000 homes were evacuated</a> in the Idyllwild, Lake Hemet, Apple Canyon, Mountain Center, Camp Scherman and Hurkey Creek areas.</p><p>Police arrested Brandon McGlover on July 25 for allegedly setting multiple fires, including the Cranston Fire, according to Cal Fire</a>.</p><p>The San Bernadino National Forest tweeted</a> that the fire began off Highway 74 between Hemet and Mountain Center, California.
