<br /> It was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is getting the reboot treatment.<br />Uproxx reports that creator Joss Whedon is attached as an executive producer.<br />The series will be led by **Alias** writer Monica Owusu-Breen.<br />Owusu-Breen says she won’t try to replace or replicate Whedon’s “brilliant and beautiful series."<br />She hinted via Twitter that it "could be time to meet a new slayer."<br />According to The Hollywood Reporter, a black actress has been cast as the titular slayer. <br />
