<p>A tornado touched down on Friday, July 27, in Whitemarsh Island, Georgia, and caused damage in the area, according to WJCL</a>.</p><p>The storm reportedly</a> knocked over trees and ripped off roofing at a local middle school and elementary school.</p><p>The National Weather Service Charleston, SC, tweeted</a> that it would conduct a damage survey for the area on July 28, and confirmed that there was a tornado in the area around 4 pm on July 27.</p><p>No injuries have been reported.
