Driver at Fault After Bus Crashes Into Milwaukee University Building

<p>A Milwaukee bus driver failed to apply the brake and accidentally accelerated through an intersection into a Marquette University building, the Milwaukee County Transit System said</a> on July 27 following an investigation into the crash.</p><p>The MCTS also released footage of the incident, which occurred on May 15. In the video, the driver, Calvert Campbell, can be seen screaming as the bus careens into a building.</p><p>Five passengers were on the bus at the time of the accident, the MCTS said, with Campbell and three passengers suffering injuries that were not life threatening.</p><p>The MCTS said that prior to the accident, Campbell, 59, drove for 12 years without any accidents. As a result of the incident, he would be taken off the road for 6 months, during which time he would be part of the team that cleans the buses at night and fills them up with fuel, the MCTS said.
