The heatwave continues unabated here in Korea.<br />Today, the capital Seoul is forecast to hit 37 degrees Celsius.<br />That's hotter than just about anywhere else in the country, and hotter than Tokyo or Beijing.<br />Korea's east coast tonight will get a little rain, which will hopefully cool things down a bit.<br />And by Tuesday, the southernmost parts of South Korea could be under the influence of tropical storm Jongdari.<br />Now downgraded from a typhoon, the storm has veered west and is now over Japan, bringing strong winds and torrential rains.<br />It caused hundreds of flights to be canceled over the weekend.<br />The Japanese authorities have warned of the risk of landslides and ordered tens of thousands of people to evacuate.<br />They were criticized for giving the warning too late when floods killed more than 200 people earlier this month. <br />
