The South Korean government sent a medical team for Laos on Sunday to help those affected by the recent collapse of a dam and subsequent flooding.<br /> Fifteen doctors and five support staff will be in Laos for 10 days to help prevent contagious diseases and provide treatment.<br />More than three thousand people are still stranded and roughly 130 people are missing.<br />On Saturday, Korea sent Laos basic necessities like blankets and hygiene kits.<br />The dam that collapsed was built by a joint venture that included two Korean companies.<br />It's still not clear why the structure broke. <br />
