This is an algorithm built with the software MaxMSP. I elaborate an audio file with the granular synthesis using a fixed triangular envelope. I drive three variables: <br />1) on the left the file reading speed and its direction <br />2) in the centre the frequency of the grain<br />3) on the right the sound's duration of every grain.<br />This algorthm is the base for the electronic part of my piece "Petali di grano" available here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwdGGFGWii8 It's for cello and electronics. <br />At the output of the algorithm there is a random panning (not visible in the patch) which moves the grains in the stereo space.<br />I chose Bruce Almighty's audio because it's funny.
