The project centered around the Casio MT-500 -- a relatively obscure keyboard instrument, but that which was formative in Pharrell's legendary career. Accordingly, Arsham executed renditions of the MT-500 in his signature 'decayed vintage' aesthetic, unveiling the piece in New York. HYPEBEAST got the opportunity to sit with both artists for a profound discussion on the importance of the objects, the juxtaposition of 'old' and 'new,' Arsham's creative process, and their relationship as a whole.
