A total of 10 senior officers from the Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO) vetted the letter sent to CIA director Gina Haspel ahead of the May 9 general election.<br /><br />This was revealed by lawyer Shaharudin Ali, who is representing MEIO director-general Hasanah Abdul Hamid.<br /><br />He said MEIO has more than 1,000 intelligence officers worldwide, and the leakage of the letter had caused concern.
