<p>A wildfire burning in Merlin, Oregon, grew to almost 25,000 acres by Tuesday, July 31, as it inched towards an iconic stretch of the Rogue River, according to KGW8</a>.</p><p>More than 1,000 people</a> were evacuated in the Merlin and Grants Pass area by July 31, though no homes or structured were destroyed.</p><p>The fire, referred to as the Taylor Creek Fire, was one of the fires within the Garner Complex.
