<p>Justin Sanchez recorded his family’s escape from the path of the deadly Carr fire and a towering fire tornado that ripped through Redding, California, on July 26.</p><p>In this footage recorded by Justin Sanchez from the bed of a pickup truck flames can be seen burning near homes with the “firenado” looming in the background. Sanchez in an interview with Buzzfeed News</a> said the video was captured as he fled the fire with his father and his two teenage sons. The Sanchez’s home was destroyed in the fire.</p><p>More than 20,000 residents of Redding, California, were forced to evacuate their homes</a> on July 26 and July 27 after the Carr Fire exploded in size to at least 44,450 acres</a>.</p><p>The cause of the fire was reported</a> to have been from a vehicle malfunction on Monday, July 23.
