A record number of people have died from heat-related illnesses so far this summer as the sweltering heat continues to grip Korea.<br /> As of Monday, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had recorded 28 deaths.<br />More than 2-thousand-200 people have been treated for conditions such as heatstroke, heat cramps, and heat exhaustion.<br />That's more than twice the figure for the same period last year. <br />The KCDC has advised people to refrain from going outdoors during the day and to pay close attention to the body's warning signs. <br />
