<p>Protesters shut down</a> parts of Harare’s Central Business District on August 1, as early voting results indicated Emmerson Mnangagwa was in the lead to win the presidential election.</p><p>His party, Zanu-PF</a>, looked set to win the majority of parliament seats.</p><p>Reports said</a> supporters of the rival party, MDC Alliance, set a Zanu-PF flag on fire.</p><p>On July 31 Zimbabwe took to the polls for the first time since the removal of Robert Mugabe</a> as president in 2017.
