A month-long campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of ticks to both animals and humans begins today.<br /><br />The Big Tick Project has been running for three years and is the biggest ever veterinary study of ticks and the diseases - like Lyme - that they carry in the UK.<br /><br />Ticks are creatures that feed on blood - and their numbers are thought to be increasing. Kevin Ashford reports, followed by Fred's interview with Andrew McGuinness from Canterbury who contracted Lyme Disease.<br />
