<p>The Eel Fire sparked on July 31 as the third wildfire burning in Mendocino County, California, burning 865 acres within the first four hours, according to the Mercury News</a>.</p><p>Firefighters were already battling the River and Ranch fires, combined into the Mendocino Complex at more than 90,000 acres.</p><p>Cal Fire tweeted</a> that the Eel Fire was curbed at 865 acres on August 1.</p><p>The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office issued mandatory evacuations</a> for the Covelo area on July 31.
