The Finance ministry plans to make strategic investments to promote Korean industries considered crucial to the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution.<br /> Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon announced the government is set to inject around 27-billion U.S. dollars by the year 2022 to promote the country's drone industry and seven other core innovative sectors.<br />Kim says the ministry will select additional fields that need state support so as to promote global competitiveness, and reflect them in next year's budget.<br />According to Kim, the goverment plans to come up with measures to revitalize the so-called "platform economy" and ease regulations on venture companies to boost merger and acquistion deals. <br />
