A crew member filmed from inside an air tanker as it dropped fire retardant on the Mendocino Complex fires on August 2.<br /><br />In the video, a crew member, who works as a contractor Loadmaster for the USFS, Tanker 118, films out the window as the air tanker appears to be flying low and close to the ground. <br /><br />Huge plumes of smoke fill the sky as flames burn in the hills.<br /><br />Then a loud swoosh can be heard as the crew drops fire retardant.<br /><br />The Mendocino Complex fires, which include the River and Ranch Fires, burned through 153,738 acres as of August 3, according to media reports.
