The government has revealed in parliament that it has collected RM146 million from the tourism tax from September 2017 to June 2018.<br /><br />This was revealed by Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong in the Dewan Rakyat.<br /><br />He also highlighted how the tax has affected budget hotels that offer rooms for two-digit prices per night.
