A snake rescuer, called Bhagesh Bhagwat, got the shock of his life when he witnessed a three-foot-long cobra regurgitating a plastic wrap.<br /><br />Bhagwat rescued the snake after it had got stuck in the ceiling of a house in Mumbai, India. <br /><br />Bhagwat said he saw something hanging out of the snake’s mouth when he first saw the reptile.<br /><br />Keeping in mind the safety of the snake, Bhagwat managed to hold its tail and brought the snake to the ground. <br /><br />"I was shocked that as soon as it reached the ground, it began regurgitating something from its mouth and within seconds, I realized that it had ingested a large amount of plastic wrap that it was now throwing up," he said.<br /><br />He later released the snake in the wild.<br /><br />Santosh Shinde, President of S.A.R.R.P ( Spreading awareness on reptiles and rehabilitation programme ) said that he has never come across a case like this of a snake swallowing plastic. Meanwhile, Mumbai authorities have recently put a ban on plastic.
