A quilt drying in the open air was burned due to the heatwave in northern China.<br /><br />In the video, filmed in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province on August 2, smoke floats up from the sheet as it smoulders under the sun.<br /><br />According to reports, the temperature reached 38C on that day.<br /><br />China's northern plain region – which includes the capital city of Beijing – is expected to be one of the world's deadliest heatwave zones by the end of the century, according to climate scientists.
