A 1,200-acre fire burned in Orange County's Cleveland National Forest on August 6, sparking mass evacuations as it spread dangerously close to residences.<br /><br />According to local media, the Holy Fire broke out in the afternoon and grew into a blaze seven times its size within an hour. Evacuation orders were issued for residents in the areas of Corona, Lake Elsinore and Temescal Valley, as well as surrounding neighborhoods.<br /><br />Hikers in Cleveland National Forest were asked to leave, and two people hiking near a canyon had to be rescued by fire crews.<br /><br />At least 600 personnel are fighting the fire. The cause of the blaze was not known at the time of writing.
