A new report has found that -- perhaps unsurprisingly -- that China is the world's number one consumer of electricity,... using nearly 57-hundred terawatt hours last year.<br />Data compiled by London-based statistics and research firm Enerdata shows China was followed by the U.S., India and Japan -- in that order.<br /> South Korea was seventh on the list.<br />It's estimated the country expended around 534 terawatt hours in 2017... and the rate of increase has been rising fast since 2015.<br />Industries using the most power in South Korea include those in the steel, petrochemical and semiconductor sectors. <br />
