<p>A powerful hailstorm killed at least two animals and injured 14 people when it struck the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Monday, August 6.</p><p>Softball-sized hailstones smashed through car windshields and dented vehicles, as seen in eyewitness footage shared from visitors at the zoo. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo said in a statement shared on Facebook</a> a cape vulture and a muscovy duck were killed in the storm and the zoo would be closed Tuesday for repairs.</p><p>KRDO</a> reported that five people were taken to hospital after being injured in the storm at the zoo.
