North Korea is dealing with a severe heatwave of its own... and is in need of humanitarian support.<br /> A recent report from the International Federation of Red Cross says,.... the North Korean Red Cross has officially informed the organization... of emergencies in the southern provinces of Pyongannam-do... and Hamgyongnam-do.<br />The heatwave started in mid-July and the mercury has reached close to 40 degrees Celsius in certain parts of the country.<br />North Korea's Red Cross organization said,... the heat has significantly affected agricultural production and that many elderly and children are suffering from a heatstroke.<br />With the heatwave in North Korea expected to continue until mid-August... the International Red Cross says... it aims to pump water to the highest-hit areas.... and improve food security in the North. <br />
