계엄문건 조사 특수단 수사기한 30일 연장 신청<br /><br /> The independent probe team looking into illegal political interference by a recently dissolved military intel unit, asked the nation's defense minister for an extension to its investigation period.<br /> The team is looking into confidential documents that were drawn up by the Defense Security Command, allegedly related to plans to impose martial law in case protests turned violent following a court ruling on Park Geun-hye's impeachment.<br />As the 40-day period ends on the 20th of this month,... a military official said the defense chief is likely to accept the requested extension.<br />The investigation can be extended by a month, up to three times.<br />The probe team also plans to add about 10 more investigators to the current 30-member squad,... due to the excessive workload.<br />The result of the investigation should be ready by mid-September at the earliest. <br />
