Smoke rises high into the sky as wildfires burn in the south of Portugal.<br /><br />Footage filmed on August 6 near the tourist hotspot of Monchique shows a small fire burning in the bush as grey smoke takes over the skyline.<br /><br />More than 1,100 firefighters have been deployed to battle the blaze, which has been burning for four days.<br /><br />At least 44 people have required medical assistance.
