Johnny Depp's 'City of Lies' Pulled From Release Schedule Johnny Depp's movie about
the murder of Notorious B.I.G.
was previously scheduled
to open on September 7. In City of Lies, Depp plays LAPD detective
Russell Poole, who searches for
answers surrounding the murders
of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. The film's distribution company,
Global Road Entertainment, has
decided that they will not release it. This decision comes one month after Depp was sued for allegedly assaulting former location manager, Gregg Brooks. Depp is also reportedly in the midst of a lawsuit from two former bodyguards who cite improper pay and "toxic" situations. Depp's next film to drop
is Fantastic Beasts:
The Crimes of Grindelwald
on November 16th. Many fans are critical of his role within
the Harry Potter spin-off after being
accused of physical and verbal
abuse by his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Depp denies the claims.
