Cannabis For Pets Puts Vets in a Predicament The use of Cannobidoil among pet owners to relieve an aging dog's pain or the chronic anxiety of an overstressed cat has spiked in recent years. Cannobidoil is a cannabis plant extract also known as CBD. While marijuana use for humans is legal in at least 30 U.S. states, none of those states make a provision for furry family members. This has made veterinarians hesitant to prescribe or even mention CBD as a treatment because if they did, they could lose their license. Marijuana remains illegal <br />under federal law.
