A prestigious Japanese medical school is in hot water for deliberately marking down entrance exam scores of female applicants to limit the number of women studying at the school.<br /> The malpractice at Tokyo Medical University had reportedly been going for decades in order to accept more men.<br />The college initially denied knowledge of any wrongdoing, but later apologized.<br />School officials said they would consider retroactively admitting those who were rejected as a result of test altering, but failed to explain how they would do so.<br />Reports suggest that this was not an isolated incident, with investigations finding that sons of wealthy families had their test scores boosted after their parents made large donations. <br />
