<p>Heavy smoke settled over Lake Elsinore, California, on Wednesday, August 7, as the Holy Fire in the canyons above doubled</a> to more than 9,600 acres.</p><p>Dangerous heat and low humidity have kept firefighters from containing the blaze – it stood at 5 percent Thursday morning – and several thousand people were under evacuation orders.</p><p>This footage shows the smoke over sunset in Lake Elsinore, just outside Cleveland National Forest where the fire is burning.
