James Bond fans were sent into a frenzy as speculation that Idris Elba as the next 007 resurfaced. Even director Ron Howard weighed in on the frenzy.<br /><br />SFgate.com says a report in the U.K. tabloid The Daily Star on Thursday posited Elba stepping into the role. Actor Daniel Craig, the current 007, is completing his latest Bond film.<br /><br />Speculation that Elba would the next James Bond has been happening on-and-off for years. <br />
