N. Korea blames Seoul for 'slow' progress on inter-Korean projects

Today's meeting seems like a big step in the right direction,... but just a day before the talks,... North Korea seemed to point the finger at the South for what it sees as lackluster progress on their joint projects.
Seo Bo-bin reports.
A day before the two Koreas were set to hold their fourth round of high-level talks this year,... North Korea appeared to try and play the blame game.
The regime's external propaganda website, Uriminzokkiri , said South Korea is "blindly obeying" the American-led sanctions, which it said is a major reason progress has slowed in the implementation of the Panmunjom Declaration signed by the South and North Korean leaders back in April.
It also called on South Korea to work harder to improve inter-Korean relations.
The propaganda site also blamed Seoul for its efforts to stay close to its ally,... the U.S., in asking for exemptions to the sanctions for a slew of inter-Korean projects,... like restoring the military hotline along the West Sea and transporting the materials needed to open the joint-liason office in the North.

It's a hint... that in Monday's talks... North Korean officials are likely to press their counterparts from Seoul to speed up progress on multiple joint economic projects.
Officials from the two sides are expected to discuss ongoing economic projects and settle on some details for the inter-Korean summit they agreed to hold this fall.

SEO Bo-bin, Arirang News.
