How did one young athlete come out of nowhere to dominate golf — winning three majors in the past two years? This is the genesis of golf champion Brooks Koepka.

Koepka was born in 1990 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He started playing golf at the age of three and it was clear that he was a prodigy from a young age. He even began playing for his high school golf team as a sixth grader.

He continued to play golf at Florida State and became a three-time All American who set two school records. He made his professional debut in 2012 at The Challenge tour in Europe and went on to earn his European Tour card.

He made his PGA tour debut in 2014 and managed to get 17 top ten finishes in three years. He won his first major in 2017 — but that was just the beginning of his victories.

In 2018 he won his second straight U.S. Open before going on to beat Tiger Woods and Adam Scott at the PGA Championship. It seems like in the blink of an eye he went from a guy with only one PGA win, to a three-time major champion — and he seems poised to win even more.

This video, "The Genesis of Brooks Koepka", first appeared on
nowthisnews.com.
