Two tourists filmed this terrifyingly close encounter with a wild elephant in Botswana.<br /><br />The Spanish women were relaxing in their campsite in Savuti Game Reserve on August 4 when the fully-grown elephant wandered towards them.<br /><br />Incredibly, the tourists controlled their instinct to run and let the African walk right up to them.<br /><br />The elephant got so close to the brave tourists that they could have easily reached out to touch it.<br /><br />After a minute or so, the gentle giant walked off.<br /><br />"My heart is beating so fast," said the filmer, with a huge sigh of relief.
