The inter-Korean military communication line on the eastern part of the Korean Peninsula has been fully restored eight years after it was cut off due to a wildfire. <br /> South Korea's defense ministry said Wednesday the measure aims to strengthen mutual trust between the two Koreas while easing military tensions. <br />It also explained the complete restoration of fax and phone lines were part of the Panmunjom Declaration and June's inter-Korean general-grade military talks. <br />The military communication channel on the western part of the peninsula was fully restored last month. <br />
